In the first of a 2 part series celebrating the glory of Glam Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet explores the fascinating relationship between Marc Bolan and David Bowie that fuelled the flamboyant creation of Glam. Inspired by Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett Bolan and Bowie incorporated fantasy and theatrics in to their live and recorded work on their quest for pop stardom.  

As Angie Bowie recalls in the programme “David and Marc liked each other very much and at certain times were great friends, but they were also bitter rivals”

Guests in the programme include David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Tony Visconti, Gene Simmons, Mick Rock, Rick Wakeman and Angie Bowie.
